Our Farm

Our family farm, “Tarraganda”, is located in between Harden and Young in southern New South Wales. A section of the property borders the Moppity Rd hence the company name. The town of Young was once called “Lambing Flat” because of the well sheltered valleys of the region, and our farm is amongst some of the most productive agricultural land in Australia.

Our farm has been in the family for six generations and is now managed by two of the Bowman Brothers, Jamie and Hugh. With all this past and present experience, the farm now breeds animals in a natural and sustainable environment that is one of the reasons for our Lamb tasting so good!

Our farm now consists of close to 10,000 acres of gently undulating country where we run several enterprises including our Natural Lamb and Beef, and also various crops including wheat, canola, triticale and oats.

We have always understood that our farm is a natural resource and for this reason take various measures to ensure that our farm is still operating for at least another six generations. We have adopted various sustainable management practices including planting over 5000 native trees in 2008, using biological fertilizers and grazing our stock on deep rooted perennial pastures.
